RYZE Superfoods - Zach Miller Ultra Runner

This campaign was about capturing Zach Miller’s full routine—from starting his day with RYZE Mushroom Coffee, to pushing his limits on high-intensity adventures, and recovering with RYZE afterward.

To capture that story authentically, our crew had to go wherever Zach went. If he climbed, we climbed. If he ran, we ran. We were there every step of the way to capture the energy, effort, and adventure behind his routine.

From getting up before sunrise to skin up a snow-covered mountain for first tracks, running through rugged trails, and scaling desert peaks, every location gave us an opportunity to showcase Zach’s athletic ability and relentless drive.

The result was an energetic visual campaign that captures how Zach starts his day, pushes his limits, and recovers—with RYZE Mushroom Coffee as part of his routine.

It was a campaign that required us to go the distance behind the camera to capture an athlete who does the same every day.

A great location allows your subject and story to shine.

A great subject is only part of the equation—we also needed stunning locations to bring every scene to life. The campaign called for environments that felt like different seasons, from spring and summer to winter, but we had just one week to capture it all.

That meant finding a location where we could get the most variety without sacrificing production time.

We chose Bend, Oregon. With an incredible range of landscapes and ecosystems within a short drive, Bend gave us everything we needed in one location—from snow-covered ski terrain at Mt. Bachelor to rugged high-desert landscapes.

The right location made it possible to create the visual variety of an entire year in just one week.

It’s a perfect example of why thoughtful pre-production is so important. The better you plan, the more you can accomplish once the cameras start rolling.
