First Security Bank - ‘Freedom To’ - Real People Real Results

Teaming up once again with Athena Photography and First Security Bank’s marketing team, we created a visually compelling branding campaign designed to showcase the diverse clients the bank serves and how First Security Bank supports them throughout their lives.

A key element of the campaign was finding subjects who could authentically represent the bank’s customers. Together, we searched for and cast three unique individuals—not actors, but real First Security Bank customers with genuine passions, hobbies, and pursuits. By featuring real people in their everyday lives, we kept the videos grounded in authenticity and created a message that felt approachable, relatable, and true to the communities First Security Bank serves.

This authentic approach strengthened the campaign’s messaging and helped build a deeper connection with the intended audience, ultimately contributing to strong results across the campaign.

Strong messaging comes to life through creative execution.

A key challenge of this campaign was finding a way to incorporate the advertising message into the videos without making it feel like traditional advertising. We wanted the messaging to be memorable—something that would stay with the audience long after the video ended.

That idea led us to integrate the copy directly into the scenes themselves, turning the messaging into part of the visual storytelling. We printed campaign copy onto a variety of unexpected props, including stickers, posters, weightlifting plates, car air fresheners, and other elements within the scenes.

The messaging wasn’t designed to demand attention; instead, it was intentionally subtle—just noticeable enough to spark curiosity. Like a visual “Where’s Waldo?” puzzle, viewers were encouraged to look closer, discover the hidden messages, and actively engage with the content.

This approach transformed passive viewers into active participants. By making the messaging unexpected and playful, we created a memorable visual experience that encouraged audiences to pay closer attention while reinforcing the campaign’s message in a way that felt organic rather than forced.
